If you are in a good position on the rank list for your chosen course, you can then enrol for it by applying by the deadline. If you do not apply to enrol by the deadline, your position will be cancelled and candidates lower down the list will be able to enrol.

Frequently Asked Questions What is the enrolment?
It is your first acquisition of student status in a university. Upon enrolment you will receive a student number which you will keep until conclusion of your studies. You have to submit the application form together with the payment receipt of tuition fees (usually the first instalment only). Fees payment is essential for the enrolment.

Who can enrol?
Candidates who successfully pass the admission procedure and who are high enough in the admission rank list are entitled to enrolment. A rank list is compiled for each course. The rank lists are only valid for the academic year in question. A study title valid for university admission is required for the enrolment. Candidates with a study title gained abroad must submit, at the latest upon enrolment, a declaration of equivalent value certifying that their title is valid for university admission in the country where it was gained.

What is a declaration of equivalent value?
The declaration of equivalent value is a document which enables verification of the admission requirements to university studies of candidates with titles gained abroad. The declaration of equivalent value is issued by the Italian Representative Authority abroad (usually the consulate) and confirms that the qualification obtained by the candidate would grant him/her entry to a similar university course in the country in which the qualifications were achieved.
The declaration must be applied for as soon as possible since it can often require long processing times.

When can I enrol?
You can usually enrol from the rank list publication date. The deadline for the enrolment is indicated in the Study manifesto and it is binding. 
Candidates listed in the admission rank list of more than one course must choose one course only upon enrolment. By enrolling, they lose the right to enrol in the other course and cannot be repechaged for it. In Italy, It is not allowed to study simultaneously at several universities or in several courses of the same university. Otherwise, pre-enrolment at other universities is possible.

How long does it take to enrol?
If the documents you provided are complete, it just takes a few minutes. Thanks to the online pre-enrolment procedure, all necessary data are already present in our system.

What do I get upon enrolment?
You will receive a student card and an account allowing you to access the university network, your online study career and to keep in touch, via email, with the university community.

What about a repechage in the rank list?
A repechage is possible. If a candidate preceding you in the rank list does not enrol by the deadline, the University will assume that he/she no longer wants to study here and admission will then be opened up to the candidates further down the rank lists.

What happens if I do not enrol by the deadline?
You lose your study place, which becomes available to the student who comes after you in the rank list. Should places still be available in your course of choice, you can apply to the Rector for late enrolment, indicating the reason of your delay. The application must be submitted at the Student secretariat, which will forward it to the Rector.
