Prof. Gabriella Dodero

Prof. Dodoero was professor with Tenure by the Faculty of Mathematical, physical and natural sciences at the University of Genova from 1977 to 2006. At the Free University of Bozen/Bolzano where she has been teaching since 2006, she is professor of Programming Languages, Advanced Operating Environments and Human Computer Interaction; her research interests are mainly focused on applicative themes linked to the software development. Since December 2009 she has been Rector´s delegate for the student-centred education in the following areas:
- students´rights and duties;
- teaching needs of disabled students;
- support to autonomous education and to distance education through the use of TIC facilities;
- access to the university structures for citizens of all ages;
- initiatives to promote the development of the scientific approach in the society;
- coordination activity for the development of a “general study” about the public interest towards access to the University.

Prof. Giancarlo Succi

Giancarlo Succi is Professor with Tenure at the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen, where he directs the Center for Applied Software Engineering, is Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, and is delegate of the Rector for ICT. Before joining the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen, he has been Professor with Tenure at the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta (where he has also been Director of Computer Engineering and of ASERC, Associate Professor at the University of Calgary, Alberta and Assistant Professor at the University of Trento. Since 1 July 2010 prof. Succi has been Rector´s delegate for IT communication with the following tasks:
within the University
- highlighting the IT requirements of the academic community about research, services and everyday activites and proposing solutions and suitable policies;
- coordinating the development of strategical proposals for the utilization of the IT communication in research, services and everyday activities to improve our actions efficacy and to promote the quality control;
- coordinating the supporting activity towards the utilization of the IT communication in the planning, management and evaluation of the research.

- representing the Rector in all academic initiatives concerning IT communication and related innovations promoted by public bodies, other universities and research centres;
- carrying out networking activity with the IT industry and with the IT sectors of the public administration at national and international level.
