Pippo.Stage

Lungomare Gallery

Lungomare is a structure that unites a gallery project with a design, film and visual communication studio. The gallery is interested in events that are linked with design and confrontation of these and other creative processes.The gallery has a bar that stimulates encounters and confrontations. The bar offers monthly activities, such as culinary events, brunches on Sundays and evening cocktails.

Circolo fotografico Tina Modotti - Photographical Association


The Photographic Association “Tina Modotti” was founded about 25 years ago and as the latest phase of its growth, since 2003 it has its own base with a showroom of around 20 linear meters, a little library (with books and photographic reviews), and a wine bar (the “Muflone Rosa”), located in the historical town centre of Bolzano - via della Roggia 22. Here the associaton organises an average of eight photographical exhibitions every year (decicated to local and international artists), a photography course and several evenings on different topics (history of photography, contemporary photography, video and picture projections).

Each June during this Jazz Festival it is possible to attend concerts of internationally renowned artists in spectacular locations all around town.

Bolzano Danza / Tanzsommer Bozen - International Dance Festival

Each summer, the best international dance companies present their new performances in Bolzano; at the same it is possible to participate to courses held by word-renowned dancers.

Transart Festival

Contemporary and experimental music and art. Transart is contemporary culture for everyone wishing to understand the essence of our times: an unmistakable mixture of music, dance, theater, art, and new technologies. Singular contents are in full synergy with the atypical sites where the festival - since its beginning - has organized its events… train warehouses, factories, abandoned historical monuments… under the prolific star of experimentation.

Bolzano Festival Bozen


The Festival gathers together four different musical events: Concerts performed by Youth Orchestras; the Ferruccio Busoni Piano Festival and Competition; the Antiqua section dedicated to the exhibition of music from the Renaissance and Baroque eras; and the Gustav Mahler Academy. A particular characteristic of the Festival is the blending together of concert activities with the on-going musical education of young instrumentalists, making Bolzano one of the principal centres in Europe for the professional level cultivation of new musicians.

4FilmFestival

Opere Nuove Festival + No Words Film Festival + Borderlands International Film Festival + Rimusicazioni Film Festival. These four individual Cinema Festivals have grown and evolved thanks to the efforts and dedication of three different cultural organisations (The Bolzano Cineclub, The Bolzano Cineforum and Harlock). Each Festival provides an original perspective on cinema. Now the organisers pool their energies and concentrate on a larger, greater objective: a single event that joins all the different individual festivals together under one roof.

South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology

Home of Ötzi the Iceman. Over 5000 years ago, a man climbed up to the icy heights of the Schnalstal glacier and died. He was found by accident in 1991, with his clothes and equipment, mummified and frozen: an archaeological sensation and a unique snapshot of a Copper Age man.

International Piano Competition "Ferruccio Busoni"

The aim of the Busoni Contest is to discover young pianists, within the natural and ideal surroundings of the prestigious Monteverdi Conservatory.The contest was begun more than fifty years ago and it would not be easy to find another competition with so many editions or which can boast of having discovered so many now world-famous pianists, who began their career in Bolzano.

Orchestra Haydn Orchester

The Haydn Orchestra was founded in 1960. It has played in the principal Italian concert venues and has participated in numerous international festivals, and it has toured in the USA, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Hungary. In its over 40 year long history, the «Haydn» Orchestra has performed a vast amount of works across all musical genres, ranging from Baroque to contemporary composers. It has hosted many great conductors, among which Claudio Abbado, Riccardo Muti, etc., and accompanied soloists ofthe calibre of G. Sokolov, B. L. Gelber, etc.

"Gustav Mahler - Music and Youth" Foundation

The "Gustav Mahler - Music and Youth" Foundation was founded in 1999 at the initiative of Maestro Claudio Abbado and is the result of long years of close collaboration between the city of Bolzano and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester. Every year in October, the foundation conducts master classes for advanced young musicians from all over Europe, called the Gustav Mahler Academy.

Alexander Langer Foundation

This Foundation, named after a pioneer of interculturalism in South Tyrol, organizes the Euromediterranea Festival in the summer.

Latinoamérica Y Su Gente - Cultural Association

This association was founded by a group of Latin American artists living in the area of Bolzano and wanting to present their culture through the organisation of various events in town. Each year they organize the Festival "Caraibi a Bolzano". Since 2003.

Rus' - Cultural Association

The aim of this association is to present Russian and Slavic culture through music, theatre, exhibitions, lectures and talks. It also manages the library "Nadežda Borodina", and organises visits to the orthodox curch of "S. Nicola Taumaturgo". Since 1991.

ZeLIG-School for Documentary,Television and New Media

Another International Students Community! ZeLIG is one of the few professional training institutions in Europe that offers specific preparation in the field of documentary film making.
