Bachelor in Design and Art
Major in DesignThe course lasts officially three years. Interdisciplinary project work characterises the degree course offered by the Faculty of Design and Art. This approach focuses on a conceptual reflection on design. Here, students are encouraged, through working and learning, to become increasingly independent in their working methods. The courses at the Faculty of Design and Art are held in German, Italian and English. The teaching and examination language of each subject depends on the lecturer of the respective course.

Graduates of the Faculty of Design and Art will have gained the necessary skills to seek employment in the areas of product design and visual communication. They will have been trained to work in various sectors, such as the designing of consumer goods, technical systems and services, in creating graphics, developing corporate identities and working in the fields of media and internet design. Their comprehensive training takes into account the changing nature of the individual job profiles on the labour market.
